These Terms & Conditions apply to all members using the infrared sauna facilities at FTC Gym. By using the sauna, you agree to comply with these terms and all safety instructions to help maintain a safe, hygienic and comfortable environment for everyone.

1. Access to the Sauna

The infrared sauna is available to eligible FTC Gym members and is located within both the male and female changing rooms.

No booking is required. Use of the sauna is subject to availability.

The sauna may only be used during FTC Gym’s manned hours. Use outside these hours is strictly prohibited.

Members must respect the privacy, dignity and personal space of others using the changing room facilities.

Access may be temporarily restricted for cleaning, maintenance or safety reasons.

2. Sauna Instructions and Maximum Session Time

Members must read and follow all sauna operating instructions and safety guidance clearly displayed in the changing rooms before use.

The maximum permitted session is 30 minutes per use. This limit must not be exceeded.

New users should begin with shorter sessions and increase gradually as tolerated, in accordance with the sauna manufacturer’s recommendations.

Members must follow all displayed temperature guidance and operating instructions.

Leave the sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, faint, nauseous, weak or uncomfortable.

Never force yourself to remain in the sauna for the full 30 minutes.

3. Health and Safety

Members are responsible for ensuring they are fit to use the infrared sauna.

If you have a medical condition, cardiovascular or blood pressure concerns, are pregnant, have impaired temperature sensation, or take medication that may affect your tolerance to heat, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before use.

Do not use the sauna if you are unwell, dehydrated or under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

Drink sufficient water before and after your session.

If you feel unwell at any point, leave the sauna immediately and inform a member of the FTC Gym team.

4. Hygiene and Cleanliness

All members must:

Use a clean towel on the seating surface at all times.

Follow the hygiene instructions displayed in the changing rooms.

Wipe down the seating and designated surfaces after use, using the cleaning products provided.

Leave the sauna clean and tidy for the next member.

Wear appropriate clothing in accordance with FTC Gym’s sauna policy.

Dispose of any rubbish responsibly.

5. Mobile Phones, Privacy and Appropriate Use

Mobile phones and other personal electronic devices must NOT be taken into or used inside the sauna.

Photography, filming and recording are strictly prohibited in the sauna and changing room areas.

Members must respect the privacy and personal space of others at all times.

Eating, consuming alcohol and bringing glass containers into the sauna are prohibited.

Do not apply oils or products that could damage the sauna equipment.

Do not tamper with the controls, electrical components or safety equipment.

Do not obstruct the sauna door or ventilation.

6. Equipment and Faults

Members must use the sauna responsibly and follow all displayed instructions.

Any damage, malfunction, unusual smell or safety concern must be reported to a member of the FTC Gym team immediately.

Do not continue using equipment that appears faulty or unsafe.

FTC Gym may temporarily close the sauna if required for maintenance, repairs or safety reasons.

7. Liability

FTC Gym will take reasonable steps to maintain the sauna facilities and equipment in a safe condition. Members must use the sauna responsibly and follow all safety instructions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any applicable statutory consumer rights.

8. Breach of Terms

FTC Gym reserves the right to restrict or suspend a member’s access to the sauna where they fail to comply with these Terms & Conditions, disregard safety instructions, misuse the equipment or behave in a way that puts themselves or others at risk.

9. Amendments

FTC Gym reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions when necessary to reflect changes to the facilities, safety requirements or applicable law. The latest version will be available on the FTC Gym website or within the gym.

10. Agreement

By using the infrared sauna at FTC Gym, members confirm that they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with all rules, instructions and safety guidance.
